This client was looking for a home that could accommodate their entire family comfortably. A Cape Cod style home sitting on a golf course in Shaker Heights kept them closer to their children and grandkids, while offering the space and style they were looking for. Windows across the back of the house showcase sprawling views of the golf course and traditional materials provide the perfect contrast to the modern updates they wanted. The kitchen features custom griege cabinets, complete with beautiful beaded detail around the frame. Both the kitchen and master bathroom have honed Carrara countertops with intense interest and veining, tying the rooms together with contemporary elegance. A spacious shower with a bench, chevron Carrara floors, and a free-standing tub create a relaxing atmosphere, while prism sconces give off vibrant lighting. Organic materials with minimalist design touches have a soft modern vibe that feel at once both polished and comfortable. An open concept gives the families optimal space, while wide plank oak floors and brass accents maintain a warmness throughout. The asymmetrical fireplace offered a unique opportunity to add an artistic element to the home with solid slab marble and birch logs.
