This remodel in Shaker Heights started as a small full bath serving guests, but evolved into a second full bathroom on the third floor, along with re-wiring and finishing the unfinished full third floor. A large tub was installed for comfortable soaking on the second floor, and a clean, but more traditional approach was taken to tile and fixture selections. Beautiful soft grey tiles were taken all the way to the ceiling, and the 3 shower niches are backed with the same carrara hexagon tile used on the floor. The third floor was finished with a much more modern feel. A soft grey with white trim was employed throughout to keep things light and bright. New wiring, dimmed switching, recessed lighting, and a fresh patterned grey carpet make the space feel more like a new build than a remodel. The bathroom occupies a small amount of square footage, but functions more like a space twice the size. A large stall shower was outfitted with heavy chrome fixtures and a beautiful glass enclosure with custom handle. The vanity was built by one of our cabinetmakers and finished in a grey to complement the tile and walls in the space. A halo lit medicine cabinet and sleek Toto toilet complete the look.
